Ormskirk FC Blue U8s Play against Liverpool FC at the Academy
It was a fantastic experience for our Ormskirk FC Blue U8s to play against the Liverpool FC Elite squad at the LFC Academy in Kirkby today.
The boys had a chance to test themselves against the Liverpool FC U7s Elite squad over three matches, and they did very well in each of the games. The games were tough and the Liverpool FC academy players were fantastic, as you'd expect, but our boys worked their socks off to keep the matches really competitive and close.
Special praise goes to our goalkeeper, Matthew, who was absolutely fantastic and made a number of great saves during each match. This didn't go unnoticed by the Liverpool FC Academy coaches, who quickly invited him down to train with their U8s Development squad, so well done Matthew.
On behalf of the parents and players, I want to thank one of our parents, Wayne, for helping to arrange our visit to the Academy today, and thanks to the Liverpool FC coaches for having us.
