This is our weekly football academy for kids that are currently in Year 1, who are going into Year 2 in September 2018. These sessions will run until the end of July 2018.
The sessions take place each week on Tuesday's at 5:30pm-6:30pm at the JMO Sports Park in Skelmersdale.
If you wish to attend a free one-off taster session, see the details below. Do not just turn up to the sessions otherwise.
Important Notice: We will put as many teams together from these training sessions as we have parents or coaches willing to volunteer to manage them. If you're interested in managing a team (full support and guidance will be given, and no experience is needed), please let us know ASAP as we need to put these teams together by the end of July (as that's when these sessions finish). The teams we create will start playing matches in a league in September 2018, when the kids go into school year 2.
The sessions are £12 per month by standing order (no cash).
You can stop the sessions at any time, so there's only a month-to-month commitment. We ask for monthly commitment to these sessions to help with our planning. We also want to make sure that the kids that attend these sessions are committed to football, as this is the level of commitment we need from parents & players that end up joining our teams when they're ready and old enough.
The club's bank details can be found at the bottom of our Club Fees page.
If your child hasn't been to these sessions before, you're welcome to book them onto a free no obligation taster session to make sure they like it.
To book your child onto a free taster session, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the following details:
JMO Sports Park, Blaguegate Playing Fields, Liverpool Road, Skelmersdale, WN8 8BX.
The sessions are held on an outdoor 7 a-side 3G court, so players can wear football boots or astroturf trainers. Players should wear shin pads and bring a still drink with them. These sessions will be held in all weather conditions, so please make sure your child is dressed accordingly.
The main benefit is that we like to put on fun football sessions that the kids will enjoy. These will help the kids to improve their football skills and will hopefully make them enjoy playing football.
Here are some other benefits that we try to offer too:
